We seek persons with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a closely related field, a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain a strong research program, have the potential to attract external funding, and involve undergraduate and graduate students in research.

Specific examples of research programs of interest include VLSI or microsystems with a significant electronics component, networked and embedded systems, communications, signal and natural language processing, microwaves and RF, biomedical engineering, and photonics and nanotechnology, although outstanding candidates in other areas are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidates will be expected to carry a vigorous research program within the existing facilities and research labs of the university. The candidates must demonstrate the potential for effective teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical and electronics engineering. Faculty salary is competitive and campus housing is provided to successful applicants.
